Mary Ogilvie Obituary, Death – Mary Catherine Zaunbrecher Ogilvie fought cancer heroically for a number of years before ultimately dying to the disease on January 29, 2023, at the age of 42, in the comfort of her own home. She had fought the disease for a number of years. She was born in New Roads, but she eventually made Baton Rouge her permanent home after moving there from New Roads. She was a loyal mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She also had other close relationships in her life. In addition to it, she maintained other intimate contacts. She cherished the time she got to spend with her devoted family and the many dear friends she had accumulated over the years.

She delighted in going to uncharted locations, partaking in activities such as yoga and dressing chicly, as well as throwing dinner parties and consuming delectable cuisine. Everyone who had the opportunity to engage in conversation with her found themselves filled with joy as a result of her larger-than-life attitude, infectious laughter, and beautiful smile. Mary Catherine worked for Louisiana Chemical Equipment Company, where she held a position in the company’s marketing and sales departments. After her departure, the only people who will remember her are her husband of 12 years, James “Burt” Ogilvie, Jr., and their son, James Burt Ogilvie, III. In addition, she is survived by her mother, Jo Ann Busse (Deb Morel), her father, Donald Zaunbrecher, her brother, Donald Glynn, and her sister, Kelson Zaunbrecher Swancy; her mother-in-law, Jamie Finnern Ogilvie; her sister-in-law, Brooke Ogilvie Williams (Trey); and her brother, Donald Glynn.
