Milton Drossos Obituary, Death – Milton Drossos of Toronto, Ontario unexpectedly passed away. Milton, the only child of Greek immigrants, was raised in Bingham Canyon where he learned the importance of working hard for a long time. After from Bingham High School, he enlisted in the US Navy and served there throughout the Korean War.
He went back to Utah, finished his studies at the University of Utah, and received his elementary education degree. He then spent a total of eight years as a teacher. He holds a master’s degree and has spent most of his 28 years as a public school administrator working in the Jordan School District. After getting to know Sophia Kapos, he proposed to her, and the two wed in June 1956. Later, they raised three children collectively.
He was a long-time US Forest Ranger and a devoted outdoor enthusiast. He adored being outside, gardening, and fishing. In their latter years, Milton and Sophia spent a lot of time playing cards and exploring the globe with their many buddy groups. When Milton retired, he continued to serve as an administrator at the St. Sophia School and other public elementary schools because he placed a high value on education.
In addition, he held office in a number of other educational organizations, including the NEA, ACE, JEA, and PTA. He maintained many of these connections while retiring. a Boy Scouts of America veteran of 30 years who was instrumental in founding Greek Troop 555. He participated extensively in a variety of civic and neighborhood groups in Midvale. Milton was good at making friends everywhere he went, but his family was always his top priority. He actively supported all of his children and grandkids, encouraging them to follow their passions. He helped care for his aged parents in their latter years and acted as the godfather to numerous children.
