Matthew Gatchel Obituary, 40-Year-Old Mount Airy Native Has Passed Away

Matthew Gatchel Obituary, Death – Matthew Michael Gatchel, age 40, of Mount Airy, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 30, 2023, as a consequence of an unknown illness. He was born on January 30th, 2023. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on May 26, 1982, to Michael R. and Linda B. Gatchel. His parents, Michael R. and Linda B. Gatchel reared him.

After finishing his high school courses at Mount Airy in the state of Tennessee, he pursued his education at Tusculum University in Greeneville. He was a volunteer in the Yokefellow Cooperative Ministries and a member of the Mount Airy First Presbyterian Church, a Presbyterian church. The survivors of Matthew Gatchel include his parents, Michael R. and Linda B. Gatchel, his brother, Benjamin David Gatchel, and his friend, Lee Patrick.

Another person Matthew leaves behind is Emily Blevins, his girlfriend of 14 years. He left a large number of people behind, including his unconditionally loved son Eli Matthew Gatchel. Also missing is his wife. Roland and Eva Gatchel, his paternal grandparents, and Eugene and Kathryn Bergh, his maternal grandparents, had both gone away before he was born.

On Saturday, February 4, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, a memorial service will be held in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home. The Reverend Dr. Paul Ridolfi will preside over the ceremony. On Saturday between the hours of one and three, friends and relatives of the deceased may express their condolences to the family at the funeral home.
