Richard Worthington Obituary, Richard Worthington Passed Away At Age 89

Richard Worthington Obituary, Death – Richard Worthington, 89 years old, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Troy Rehabilitation and Care Center in Troy, Ohio. He was a resident of Greenville, Ohio. Richard Worthington was born on July 18, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio, to Joe and Ethel (Davis) Worthington, who both passed away before his birth. Richard received his high school diploma from Ansonia High School in the year 1952. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country with distinction. Following his time in the military, Richard attended the Barber School in Toledo, Ohio.

Rich’s Barber and Style Shop first opened its doors in 1970 in the Big N Plaza in Greenville. Prior to that, Richard had spent many years working as a barber. In addition to that, he was a real estate agent who worked with Ken White and a number of other local agencies. He held a private pilot’s license in addition to a commercial pilot’s license and an instructor’s license. Oshkosh, Wisconsin, during the time of the EAA Convention was one of his favorite places to visit. One more of his interests was photography, and he particularly liked taking pictures of landscapes and aerial views.

Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ella (Seiber) Worthington; his daughter, Dana Worthington, and his son, Rick Worthington, both of Greenville, Ohio; and his sister, Ruby Sabin, of Columbus, Ohio; all of these individuals reside in the state of Ohio. As Richard has requested, there are currently no plans for any services to be held.
