Sotiris Kalogirou Obituary, Death – The demise of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Sotiris Leontis Kalogirou (Mc Donald’s Butchers), is something that we must announce with a heavy heart. He will be greatly missed.
A man with a golden heart, whose memory will in fact continue to live on with us for all of eternity. His wife of 47 years, Elenie, as well as their four children, Leon, Tony, Barry, and Lucy, are the ones he leaves behind.
His grandchildren, Andonis, Sotiris, Natasha, Nicholas, Amelia, Elenie, Elle, Spiros, and Ria, will remember him with affection. His sister Nora, his brother Michael, and all of his nieces and nephews will miss him terribly. He will also be mourned by his parents. Sotiris moved to London in September 1973 in order to pursue studies in accounting. After the invasion of 1974, he worked in Hornsey as a butcher alongside his uncle at Nicos Butchers.
After some time, he relocated to Arnos Grove, where he established Mc Donald’s Butchers, and then to Cockfosters, where he established Mc Donald’s and Sons Butchers. His funeral will be held on Monday, February 6 at 12:30 p.m. at St. John Baptist church, located at Wightman road, N8 0LY. Following the church service, the burial will take place at New Southgate cemetery, located at Brunswick Park road, N11 1JJ. Following that, we are going to gather at Walkers cricket ground, which is located at 175 waterfall road N14 7JZ beginning at 15:30.
