Thomas Lilly Obituary, Death – We mourn and rejoice that Reverend Thomas L. Our devoted husband and father fought the good battle, finished the race, and kept the faith. Tanner David Lilly and Virginia Rae Bowling-Lilly had Reverend Lilly on August 23, 1934 in True, West Virginia. He married Loretta June Meadows in Detroit on June 27, 1953. Teresa, Mark, Pam, and Mike were their children. Reverend Lilly became a Christian in 1955 and was called to pastorate a year later. Mr. Lilly left General Motors Company in Detroit, Michigan, and planted and pastored the Pontiac FWB Church in Pontiac, Michigan, while studying pastoral ministry at William Tyndall College.

Reverend Lilly loved evangelism and church planting, and the Pontiac church grew under his direction, leading many to Christ. In 1967, Reverend Lilly became pastor of West Calvary Church in Smithfield, North Carolina, where he served for eight and a half years after pastoring Pontiac for 11 years. Reverend Lilly became passionate in helping churches plan, build, and finance their facilities while at West Calvary Church. He founded Church Planning & Development and Professional Church Bond Services to help churches develop.
