Missing Clarence E. Pitts, Help Bandon (Oregon) Police Department Search For Missing Person
Missing Clarence E. Pitts – Clarence E. Pitts, age 83, was reported missing on January 31 at 1:00 p.m., and authorities from the Bandon (Oregon) Police Department and the Coos County Search and Rescue made the difficult decision to suspend the search for Clarence E. Pitts using SAR resources. This was a difficult decision to make.
Bandon (Oregon) Police Department and Coos County Search and Rescue both responded to the incident. The Bandon Police Department is carrying on with both the investigation into the search and the investigation into the case. Over the course of two and a half days, members of the law enforcement community,
citizens searching on the ground, members of search and rescue teams with dogs, and K9 units from surrounding counties all participated in the hunt for the missing person.
