Robert Gosewehr Obituary, Death – Robert Gosewehr, 61, died quietly at home with family on February 2, 2023. He remained cheerful and brave while battling cancer. Bob was born September 6, 1961, in Port Washington, WI to George and Carol Thelen Gosewehr. After graduating from Port Washington High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force as a Space Satellite Communications Systems Operator in Okinawa, Japan, and New Mexico. He met Tammy Kama Potter, his ex-wife and mother of his children, in the military.
After 10 years, he earned an Electronic Servicing degree from Waukesha Community Technical College. Bob met Tracy Caldwell Gosewehr in Appleton after migrating from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Bob married Tracy on December 27, 2017. Fox Valley Ethanol employed them till his retirement. Bob was a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, cooking, and garage tinkering. He fixed, created, and did anything he wanted. His youth included PADI open water diving certification.
He was adventurous and easygoing, usually smiling and cracking jokes. He prioritized family and friends. Everyone loved Bob. His wife Tracy Caldwell Gosewehr, his three children: Robert M. “BJ” Gosewehr Jr. (Rachael Dieringer) of Port Washington, Jennifer Hardenburg (AJ Hardenburg) of Sheboygan Falls, Hunter Lynch (Tyler Lynch) of Sheboygan Falls, and two stepchildren: James Recore and Cashton Recore of Appleton, survive him.
He was “Grandpa Bob” to Jameson, Hazel, Cainan, Brooklyn, Kenley, and Winter Lynch. His parents, brother Bill Gosewehr, and sister Sue Morauski predeceased him. The family will commemorate Bob with a private military salute at Union Cemetery in Port Washington. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 2pm, The Shipyard Bar in Port Washington will host a public Celebration of Life.
