Ruthe Jubinville Obituary, Death – At the age of 83, Ruthe E. (Wheeler) Jubinville died away at Baystate Franklin Medical Center on February 1, 2023 without any discomfort or suffering. The 23rd of April, 1939 found Ruthe Wheeler entering the world in Shelburne as the daughter of Leland and Sylvia (Long) Wheeler. She earned her nursing degree from Greenfield Community College after attending both Arms Academy and that institution.

Over the course of her fifty-year career as a certified nurse, Ruthe provided medical attention to multiple generations of local families. Her professional life began when she was hired as an on-site nurse for the Bear Swamp construction project. After that, she worked at the Farren Memorial Hospital, the Franklin Medical Center, and most recently, she has been employed by Hospice of Franklin County for more than eight years.

In addition to that, Ruthe was a volunteer emergency medical technician for the Shelburne Falls Ambulance service and worked as an ombudsman for a local nursing home, where she represented the residents and their families. She owned a ceramic workshop in Shelburne Falls, which she used for instructing others as well as selling some of the items she had made. Ruthe and her husband Jerry would frequently travel throughout the United States in order for Jerry to attend trade exhibits that were connected to his plumbing business.
