Cody Clark Obituary, Cody Clark Has Sadly Passed Away
Cody Clark Obituary, Death – 28-year-old Leavenworth resident Cody James Clark passed away on January 31, 2023. The son of James “Jim” Clark and Lorianne “Lori” Clark, he was born on October 19, 1994, in the United States Army Hospital in Wurzberg, Germany. After finishing high school in Leavenworth, Kansas in 2012, Cody enrolled in and graduated from Highland Community College in Atchison, Kansas, with an associate’s degree in automotive technology. Cody started out as a mechanic at a local car dealership after graduating from Highland, but he eventually shifted his focus to construction and mechanical work.
Prior to his current position as Director of Public Works at Fort Leavenworth, Cody spent several years working for LeavCon construction in Lansing (DPW). Cody kept working on Fort Leavenworth’s development and upkeep of its historic structures. Action movies, video games, and TV shows were his favorites. He was so enamored with skateboarding as a kid that he managed to persuade his parents to construct a 20-foot-long, 8-foot-tall half-pipe specifically for him to practice on. Moreover, in 2009, Cody contributed to the layout of the Leavenworth Skate Park. His interests expanded to include vertical obstacles and riding Razors.
He leaves behind his girlfriend Keely Brown and her son Brantley, both of Leavenworth, Kansas; his parents Jim and Lori Clark; his brother Ben Forsythe of Lihue, Hawaii; and his most adored Catahoula Leopard dog, lovely Maggie. On Friday, February 10, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m., friends and family are invited to R.L. Leintz Funeral Home for a visitation. On Friday, at 4 p.m., there will be a funeral service held at the funeral home. The Leavenworth Community Center will thereafter host a memorial service.
