Gretchen Beard Obituary, FFF Ambassador Gretchen Slater-Beard Has Passed Away
Gretchen Beard Death, Obituary – Gretchen Slater-Beard, the incredible FFF Ambassador, passed away on February 2 following a brief but serious illness. We have to break unpleasant news even though we detest doing it. The news of Gretchen’s passing saddens everyone who knew her.
Gretchen is survived by her devoted husband Kenny, sister Sherrie, kids Kelsey and Keilah, and her adored pets Honey, Lola, and King. Their children of Gretchen are also absent. Since Gretchen shared our love of pit bulls, we were happy to meet her when she came to FFF to adopt Frosted Face Cooper, formerly known as Bishop.
She contributed in a variety of ways despite living more than an hour away from FFF! She took part in organizing our thrift sale, volunteered at our Trick or Treat for Dogs event for the past two years, took dogs on yearly Valentine’s Day dates, and drove numerous dogs from outlying areas on her own.
Gretchen supported and sponsored additional Frosted Faces in addition to acting as the Seniors for Seniors liaison for Frosted Face Bach and donating goods for the auction. After Cooper passed away, the family returned to Frosted Face Farms to select their new Frosted Face pet. They settled on Frosted Face King, a paralyzed pit bull.
She was uncommon in that regard, and we still find it difficult to accept her passing. Her family has stated that a memorial service for her life would be held in Corona on February 18. The Frosted Faces Foundation, Gretchen’s favorite charity, has kindly agreed to accept memorial gifts in lieu of flowers at the family’s request.
