Jared Arends Obituary, Death – Jared Arends sadly passed away by suicide. Jared On February 6, 1929, Jane Ehlert made her debut in front of the public in Denison, Ohio. She was the child of Ed and Lena Boger Ehlert at the time of her birth. She received her high school diploma from Stanhope High School in 1946. She wed Richard Van Arends on July 21st, 1946, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, and they hitched right away.
The two have been farmers all their lives, working the property south of Stanhope in the Squaw Creek district. Jared worked for thirty years as a staff member at the Hamilton County Public Hospital’s physical therapy division. She started working as a visitation and funeral assistant at Foster Funeral Home in 1993. Up until her retirement in 2016, when she decided to leave, she worked there.
Mrs. Arends is survived by her children Jeff and Connie Arends of Webster City and Bruce and Joy Arends in addition to her devoted grandchildren Shelly and Eric Hanson, Kurt and Anne Arends, Rossi and Corbin Payne, Jared Arends, Jacob and Emily Arends, Shawn, and Neeley Wetzler, and her loved great-grandchildren Caylee and Abby Payne, Sam McNally, Aidan Hanson, Grant, Allison.
Her parents, Ed and Lena, both died before her. On the same day, Jared and her husband Richard left. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and had previously belonged to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanhope. She was also a member of Ruth Church Circle, CSP, the chairman of Hamilton County Hospice, the chairwoman of Past Hospital Employees, and the chairwoman of Past Hospital Employees Past. Her passing occurred on April 15, 2018. The day was March 15, 2019, and she departed.
