Joseph Brosi Obituary, Death – Unexpectedly, Lieutenant Joseph Brosi, who had retired from Engine Company 88, passed away on February 3, 2023. It’s possible that respiratory problems brought on by prolonged exposure to dust from the World Trade Center contributed to what ultimately led to his passing away. The selfless service that Lieutenant Brosi made to our top-secret unit over the period of 32 years is something that we will never forget and will always hold in the highest regard.

In addition to that, he was an outstanding soldier for his country during his time spent serving in the Army. His three sons, Battalion Chief Joseph Brosi, Jr., Deputy Chief James Brosi, and Jeffrey Brosi, are the only ones of his offspring to have made it to the present day. Joe Brosi, or “Mr. Brosi” as he was more frequently referred to, was the model leader, at least in the eyes of those who reported directly to him.

Mr. Brosi was a member of the Brosi family. At FDNY get-togethers, he was always successful in endearing himself to the crowd thanks to his positive attitude and quick sense of humor. His former coworkers and supervisors at the UFOA had fond memories of the time they spent working with and managing him while he was there. After he is gone, each and every one of them is going to miss him tremendously.
