Thomas Schoolmaster Obituary, Death – On February 1, 2023, at the age of 79, Thomas G. Schoolmaster passed away in his home and was taken to be with the Lord. Grand Rapids, Michigan was his birthplace on the 2nd of July, 1943. His wife, Judith Reed Schoolmaster, who was from Winchester, Kentucky, his parents, Wallace L. Schoolmaster and Rose Kerr Schoolmaster, both from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and his sister, Kay Wilhite, from Denver, Colorado, all passed away before him.

His sister, Susan Schoolmaster, who resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as well as his children Kristine (Robert) Baumgart of Acworth, Georgia, Amy (Andrew) Jelley of Noblesville, Indiana, and Robert (Vicky) Schoolmaster of Winchester, Kentucky, are among those who carry on his legacy after his passing. In addition to his grandchildren, Michael Beckham and Zachary Schoolmaster, Robert, Matthew, and Abigail (Justin) Keach, Kaitlyn and Christopher Baumgart, Elizabeth, Sean, and Sara Jelley, and Michael Beckham.

On Saturday, February 11, 2023, there will be a visitation from one to three o’clock in the afternoon at First Christian DOC in Winchester, Kentucky, and a memorial service will immediately follow. Working with the children and young adults in the community and assisting those who were in need was one of Thom’s greatest interests. As an alternative to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Thom’s name to the Clark County Community Services. The arrangements are being handled by the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home.
