Evangeline Giannoulis Obituary, Death – Evangeline Giannoulis of Ontario has passed away. The youngest of three kids, Evangeline was. Following in the footsteps of his brother Lambros, Evangeline emigrated to Canada at the age of 17, while he was still a teenager, with just “two dollars in his pocket” to pursue his lifelong passion for cooking.
Evangeline’s love of cooking led to a 46-year career in the food sector that was both lengthy and prosperous. Evangeline originally immigrated to Canada in the middle of the 1970s, when he began his brief culinary career in Davidson, Saskatchewan. Before settling in Yorkton, Evangeline had lived and worked in Regina and Melville.
Throughout his life, Evangeline owned and maintained a number of eateries, including Yorkton’s Houston Pizza and Harvest Pizza, where he spent twenty years working. While working at these two establishments, Evangeline formed a number of long-lasting friendships. The Yorkton Minor Hockey Association honored him in 2006 by naming Harvest Pizza its “Business of the Year.”
Evangeline had previously worked as a cook at Lakeside Manor Care Home in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan. In Raymore, Saskatchewan, where he lived and worked, Evangeline’s most recent position in the food industry was that of owner and manager of Harvest Place Restaurant. He gained numerous new acquaintances who were very important to him there and really appreciated small-town living.
Prior to retirement, Evangeline most recently worked at Regina’s Copper Kettle Restaurant. Zachary, Alexandros, and Elias were Evangeline’s three offspring, which was a blessing. He was a devoted parent who put in a lot of effort to provide for and care for his family. Evangeline always made sure to be there for his boys, whether it was to watch Zachary compete in a skateboarding contest, watch hockey with Alexandros, or witness Elias win a cross-country race. Since they saw how he worked so hard his whole life to attain his triumphs, his kids looked up to him as a role model. Maverick and Leo’s proud grandfather, Evangeline, was.
