She belonged to the Plain City Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder and Deacon for many years. She considered it an honor to pay visits to individuals who were housebound and help the priests distribute communion.
She served as the gift organizer for the Community Christmas Basket Program as a volunteer, and she made it her goal to make sure that each child received a gift. Marian was immensely proud of her positions on the executive committee of the DCSC Advisory Board and as a senior representative for the Dublin Parks and Recreation Board.
She also joined the Dublin Seniors, which gave her the opportunity to be president. Throughout her whole life, she belonged to a number of organizations, including the Hilliard Grange Lodge #2715, the Franklin County Young Farmers, and the Open Path Garden Club.
She also spent a considerable amount of time working at the polls for the Jerome Township, Union County Election Board. Marian and Frank enjoyed playing spades with their loved ones and participated in two separate euchre clubs.
She was a very talented seamstress. She enjoyed making beautiful quilts, needlepoint, and cross-stitch pieces of art and giving them as gifts to her loved ones. She was beautiful and had a strong desire to help people, so she volunteered at Riverside Methodist Hospital for more than 20 years.
This proved her dedication to the company. With age, Marian developed a passion for seeing new places, and because of her kind nature and endearing smile, she made friends wherever she went.
