Ken Duckworth Obituary, Ken Duckworth Has Sadly Passed Away

Ken Duckworth Death, Obituary – Ken Duckworth died on February 5, 2023, a Monday. His parents, Carl Duckworth and Catherine Williams died after his birth on January 15, 1942, in Burke County. Carl Duckworth never existed since his mother died before he was born.

He was up in the Salem region, served in the Army, and spent a significant amount of time working for the City of Morganton during his career. In addition to having a lot of knowledge in his mind, he possessed a strong work ethic.

Just two of the numerous tasks that were well within his talents included rebuilding his 1956 Ford pickup truck and building structures. He would employ the time between bodily laboring on the job and mentally preparing for the next one. He was a live illustration of the modern-day Renaissance man concept.

His own family, as well as a sizable number of others who regarded him as a friend and mentor, had a strong and unwavering affection for him. The grandkids of Ken Duckworth are Tanner and Carson.

His spouse Susan, son Bryan, wife Karen, stepchildren Elizabeth Gupton (Stewart Kolb), Adair Gupton, and Matthew Gupton (Cristy Gupton), as well as stepgrandchildren Sallie McCurry, Kenton Gupton, and Slade Gupton, are also left to mourn his passing. Adair Gupton and Matthew Gupton (Cristy Gupton), two of Ken’s biological grandchildren, both outlive him.

Donations in Ken’s honor may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church Habitat for Humanity or the American Cancer Society, both of which will be grateful for the assistance. Friends and family will congregate in Ken’s workshop on Saturday, February 18, starting at four in the afternoon and going until seven in the evening. At a later time, a funeral or memorial ceremony will be performed in remembrance of the deceased.
