Sara Denison Obituary, 34-Year-Old Woman Of Patterson Has Passed Away

Sara Denison Death, Obituary – At the Hospice Satilla Hospice House, Sara Ashton Boatright Denison, 34, of Patterson, lost her fight against cancer early on Friday, February 10, 2023. She was born on January 17, 1989, and lived her entire life in Waycross, Georgia.

Mrs. Denison started working as a social worker for the Pierce County Department of Family and Children’s Services in 2007 after receiving her diploma from Pierce County High School. She adored all of her farm animals, including her llamas, dog Lulu, chickens, ducks, and other poultry.

She liked taking boat rides, going to the beach, fishing, gathering scallops, and visiting the mountains. Due to her dedication to her friends and family, they will all miss her terribly. A member of the Martha Memorial Methodist Church is Mrs. Denison. Her mother Anna Lynell Johnson Boatright passed away before she did.

Al Boatright, a native of Bristol, is survived by her father; Alanna (Jason) Cowart; Austin Boatright (Brittany Aspinwall); Nova Dean Johnson, a beloved aunt; and Allie Anna Cowart, Aubrey Cowart, and Blak Cowart, nieces, and nephews.

Anna, her daughter, and her husband Joseph “Joey” A. Denison, Jr. of Patterson are the only survivors. Mrs. Denison’s funeral service will be held at the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel on February 13, 2023, at 3 p.m. Pastor R. B. Gaskins and Rev. Joe Thigpen will serve as its leaders.

Jay Boatright, Doug Boatright, Jad Denison, Richard Allen, Andy Thornton, and Mitchell Boyett will all serve as active pallbearers. We humbly ask that 2007 Pierce County High School graduates and employees of the Pierce County Department of Family and Children’s Services serve as honorary pallbearers.

On Monday, please arrive at the funeral home by 2:30 p.m. The Denison Family Cemetery will serve as the site of the service and burial. The funeral home of Mrs. Denison will be open for visits on Sunday from 6 to 8 o’clock.
