Tamara Hendrix Obituary, 78-Year-Old Woman Of New Castle Has Sadly Passed Away
Tamara Hendrix Death, Obituary – Tamara J. Hendrix passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 78 at The Waters of New Castle in New Castle, Delaware. She called New Castle her home and worked there.
On November 15, 1944, she was born in Richmond, Virginia to her late parents, Gene V. Ammerman and Mary Lois (Houser) Ammerman. Her parents have since passed away. Tamara attended Mt. Summit High School for her secondary education and has been active in the events hosted by the Mt. Summit Christian Church in the past.
Her enthusiasm for family history was counterbalanced by her abhorrence of pulling weeds and her delight in spending time in her backyard tending to the flowers she had planted. Tamara valued above all else the time she was able to spend with her family, particularly her grandchildren, and other relatives.
As a result of her husband’s service in the Air Force for twenty years, she was able to travel to a lot of different nations and continents.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George “Duane” Hendrix; two children, Terry (Judy) Hendrix of Buckley, Washington, and Chris (Carol) Hendrix of Brandon, Florida; four grandchildren, Dakotah (Janelle) Hendrix, Tammy (Kris) Kuykendall, Sam Hendrix, and Matt (Ella) Hendrix in addition to four great-grandchildren; three sisters At one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, the funeral ceremony will be held at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
The service will be held in memory of the deceased. During the service, Pastor Phil Rogers will serve as the officiant. Following the conclusion of the service, the burial will be held at Mt. Summit Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at eleven in the morning and continuing up to the time of the service. The ceremony will take place at one in the afternoon. In honor of the person who has passed away, you may choose to make a donation to the American Stroke Association that will continue indefinitely.
