Ed was not only someone I worked with but also a friend of mine while we were both employed at Ernst and Young and Jewish Hospital. We were able to observe and participate in our children’s growth as they got older and reached a number of important developmental milestones.

The past few months have been difficult ones for Ed Campbell, who, as many of you are aware, has been dealing with health difficulties. As a result of this, today is an extremely depressing day. The highly challenging heart surgery he underwent, which was then followed by a stroke, was the primary contributor to his current state of poor health. This morning at the hospital, Ed unexpectedly went away as he was surrounded by the people he loved.

This information has left us with a heavy heart. The family of Ed will use the money that is generated via this GoFundMe campaign to assist with a number of costs related with making burial arrangements and providing care for Ed. We are aware that Ed had an effect on many of our lives, and this provides us with the chance to bless Kathy, John, Paul, and Theresa in our positions as friends, coworkers, and acquaintances.

The Ratterman Funeral Home on Bardstown Road will have a visitation for Ed on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on both days. The visitation will be held in Ed’s honor. On Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 10:00 in the morning, the funeral service will take place at St. Gabriel.
