Leonard Gunia Obituary, Death – Gunia, Leonard P. “Doc” Beginning on the 20th of January 1949 and continuing until the 7th of February 2023 Over the course of more than half a century, worked as an employee at Frank Stoysich Meats. Parents Edward and Albina (Zuchniak) Gunia, Sr. are the brother and sister-in-law, respectively, of the Gunia family.
Prior to his passing, his parents Edward and Bonnie Gunia, Jr., his sister Margaret Mary Gunia, and his brother-in-law Warren Grieb all passed away. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou; his daughters Karen Harris (Brad) and Debbie Rife (Burt); his grandchildren Kyle Harris (Hannah), Annorah Harris, Joseph, Benjamin, and Allison Rife; his sisters Mary Ann Grieb and Lori Kelly (Rich);
his brother Richard Gunia (Rosemary); his uncle Joseph Zuchniak; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends The family will receive guests at West Center Chapel on Sunday, February 12 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, immediately prior to holding a VIGIL SERVICE at 4:00 pm. The visitation will take place on Sunday.
On Monday, February 13, at 10:30 in the morning, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial held in the Catholic Church of the Holy Cross. The funeral and burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery. It is recommended that donations made in memory of the deceased be made to either Mercy High School or the Human Needs Fund of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
