Paul and Annette started LANTIN Farms and Trucking on their Comber farm, where Paul lived until his departure, some 60 years ago. Paul delighted in every facet of farming, from planting the seeds to gathering the produce.
When he wasn’t farming, he spent more than 30 years putting in long hours baling straw for farmers in the Essex and Kent County areas. Paul was well known for being friendly and eager to help out in any way he could.
He loved to dance, listen to music, and crack people up with his quick wit. He constantly made an effort to greet people and engage in conversation. He made a lot of friends since he was honest and had integrity.
Paul and Annette loved having their children and grandchildren around. They also took pleasure in wintering in Puerto Vallarta and traveling around Florida in their RV. Paul will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him, especially Annette, his children, grandchildren, and Mark Dietrich, who was his loyal right hand and dependable friend for many years. We wish to express our special gratitude to Alex Currie from V.O.N. for the excellent care he provided to Paul in his final days.
