1 killed, 4 hurt in Tennessee shooting, officials say
SWEETWATER, Tenn. – During the course of their investigation into a fatal shooting that took place on Hawkins Road in Sweetwater, deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office are obtaining assistance from other law enforcement organizations. The officials believe there are a total of five victims, one of them being a child. Among the victims is also a woman.
At this time, the identity of the deceased has not been made public by officials with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office; nonetheless, it has been established that at least one person has passed away. The officials from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Madisonville Police Department have both confirmed that they are assisting in the search for the culprits involved in this incident.
Officials from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office have claimed that they are investigating other people who may be related to the crime, despite the fact that they already have one suspect in jail. Liu Gabriel Huerta, who is 26 years old and has not been traced, has been identified by the police as a person of interest in this investigation.
According to the officials, Huerta has a height of 5 feet and 5 inches and a number of face tattoos, including a heart between the eyebrows. Huerta also reportedly sports a beard. There is a possibility that Huerta is currently behind the wheel of a white 2014 Nissan Altima that has the license plate number BCC6220 displayed in the state of Tennessee. In the southeasternmost point of Tennessee is where you’ll find the quaint little town of Sweetwater.
