Janie Pidgeon Obituary, Death – 76-year-old Janie H. Pidgeon of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away at The James Cancer Center on Monday, February 13, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Their son, Kyle Phillip Pidgeon of Wilmington, Ohio, is left behind. Her death on December 1, 2012 followed that of her husband, G. Phillip Pidgeon. Her parents, Charles and Virginia Eaton Hildebrant, are both gone, but she was born on June 3, 1946, at Hale Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.
In 1964, she earned her diploma from Simon Kenton High. She graduated with a BA in 1968 from Wilmington College, where she pledged Delta Omega Theta.
Mrs. Pidgeon left the Wilmington School System in 2007 after having taught there for 37 years. She attended and was involved with the First Christian Church. She took pleasure in visiting new places and meeting interesting people. She was a joy to be around, with a laugh and smile that could brighten any day. Those who knew her fell madly in love with her.
Besides her son, she is survived by her sister Joyce Inwood, her brother David Hildebrant, her four nieces Jana Welch, Lannae Greene, Jeanine Mullinax, and Marla Pidgeon, and her two nephews Brian Hildebrant and Andrew Pidgeon.
We will hold a memorial service at a later time. Remember Janie with a gift to the James Cancer Center in her honor by sending your check to: The OSU Foundation, P.O. Box 710811, Columbus, OH 43271.
