C.A. Gibbs Death, Obituary – It is with great sadness that we must inform you of the demise of C.A. Gibbs, author of books published by Ingenium Books. At the beginning of 2018, when her book, The Picture Wall, was little more than a smoldering notion, we have had the pleasure and the honor of working closely with Charlotte.
It has been a wonderful experience. A mother’s emotional rollercoaster with her only son spirals out of control when he comes out as transgender, and then non-binary, which forces the family to let go of their secrets and shame in order to discover unconditional love.
The mother is having trouble coming to terms with her identity and her Christian faith. October of 2020 saw the release of the book titled “The Picture Wall: One Woman’s Tale of Being His, Her, and Their Mother.” It was awarded honorable mention in the General Nonfiction category at the Hollywood Book Festival 2021, first place in the nonfiction, relationships, and LGBTQ+ categories at the BookFest Book Awards (Spring 2022), and second place in the family category at the BookFest Book Awards.
