Milly Rose Zellmer, Pella IA Sledding Accident, Family Mourns Daughter’s Death
Milly Rose Zellmer Death, Obituary – Milly Rose Zellmer, age 5, was sledding on a hill in Pella near the intersection of West Fourth Street and Fountain View Drive when her sled entered the roadway and she was struck by a truck. Milly Rose Zellmer was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Milly Rose passed away at the scene of the accident. The occurrence occurred somewhere about 5:26 o’clock in the evening.
In her obituary, it is written that on Thursday, Milly “put on her pink Peppa Pig boots, gave her mommy a hug, and our spunky, blue-eyed, lovely little dimpled, five-year-old darling walked off to play in the snow with the biggest smile on her face.” Sadly, Milly passed away on Saturday. After having fun in the snow, Milly did not make it back to the house as expected.
On that day, there was an accumulation of snow equal to around 6 inches. She was taken to the hospital as quickly as possible, but it was too late for her to be saved.
