DeAngelo Williams Death, Obituary – According to the Cheektowaga police department, a Buffalo man was shot many times early on Wednesday morning outside the 33 Speakeasy Restaurant. The man ultimately passed away at the Erie County Medical Center.

According to Cheektowaga Police Chief Brian J. Gould, officers were called to the parking lot at 3455 Genesee St. after receiving a complaint of a disturbance involving 20 people and potential firearms. According to the lawsuit, police officers observed Williams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds while they were waiting for paramedics and immediately began medical care.

The 33 Speakeasy Grill, a bar and restaurant next to Union Road, has received several reports to the police department recently. Capt. Brian Coons of the Cheektowaga Police Department testified on Wednesday that numerous calls had been made to the area in the year prior, with the majority of those calls involving noise complaints and fights outside the bar-restaurant.

Coons continued by saying that because the neighborhood is known for being a hub for criminal activity, the Cheektowaga Police Department has established regular checkpoints around the neighborhood. The owners of the bar-restaurant were working with detectives on Wednesday, according to the manager who answered the phone, and they weren’t yet ready to issue a statement to the public.
