Terry George Obituary, Death – Terry George, who had been a resident of Maes Canol, Llanaber, passed away on February 12, 2023 at the age of 94 in Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor when he was socializing with other people and drinking a cup of tea. His passing occurred as he was having a conversation with other people. Beloved husband of Joan, who before him in death; devoted father of Patsy, Ann, Nick, and Paul; treasured grandfather of nine grandchildren; Patsy, Ann, Nick, and Paul all predeceased him.
Joan was the cherished woman he married. The well-known accounting firm Owen & Co., which he oversaw for nearly three decades and which included offices in Barmouth, Dolgellau, and Tywyn, was under his leadership for the majority of that time. A participant who became a part of the Round Table right as it was being organized in Barmouth and Dolgellau for the very first time. In addition to that, he was a judge and presided over the court that was responsible for hearing cases involving minors.
At the time of his passing, he was the Treasurer of the Three Peaks Yacht Race, a post he had held consistently since the beginning of the race. He had maintained this position since its establishment. At 12:30 p.m. local time on Monday, March 6, there will be a service open to the public that will take place at the St. Tudwal’s R.C. Church in Barmouth. After that, the funeral was held at the Llanaber cemetery for the interment of the deceased.
