Hilton Thomas Obituary, Hilton Thomas Has Passed Away At Age 72

Hilton Thomas Obituary, Death – Hilton Thomas On Thursday, November 24, 2022, Edwin Hilton Jr, age 72, a resident of Suffolk, died away peacefully at home. He was the son of Thomas Edwin Hilton and Carmen R. Hilton, both of whom had passed away, and his brother Ralph had also passed away before him. His companion, Delores Dawn Hilton, will carry on his legacy after his passing.

Tom was the proud owner of a farm and home in Gates County, North Carolina. He lived in both Suffolk and Gates County, dividing his time between the two. Old Dominion University awarded him a master’s degree with Phi Beta Kappa honors upon graduation. He worked as a disc jockey for WGH Radio in the 1970s. Thomas was a Freemason who served as a member of the Portsmouth Lodge. During his time spent working in the criminal justice system, he served in various capacities for the sheriff’s departments in both Portsmouth and Suffolk. After that, he became a teacher and worked at the King’s Fork Elementary School in Suffolk.

At two o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, December 1, 2022, there will be a memorial ceremony performed at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, which is located at 213 N Main Street in Suffolk, Virginia 23434. His ashes will be placed in Portsmouth after he passes away. The family is being assisted by the Downtown Suffolk Chapel of R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory.
