Michael Worley Obituary, Death – Michael James Worley passed away suddenly at his home. He was 69. Mike Worley was born on September 15, 1953, in Sault Ste. Marie, the fifth and youngest child of James and Roberta Worley. In 1971, he joined his classmates at Sault and graduated. He was a member of the Blue Devils football and basketball teams, a player and umpire in men’s slow-pitch softball, and a fervent supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers hockey team throughout their championship runs.

Mike and Gwen LeuVoy’s wedding was on July 14, 1973, therefore this year would have been their golden wedding anniversary. As a result of his time in the military, he and Gwen have maintained lifetime friendships with other veterans. Michael attended Lake Superior State University on the GI Bill and earned a degree in Human Services in 1983.

During his time at Lake State, he was promoted to supervisor of the resident advisor staff, a group of people he remains close with to this day. Please join us for a memorial ceremony at C.S. Mulder Funeral Home on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 4:00 PM. Attendees are welcome to congregate at the funeral home that afternoon beginning at 1:00.

As an alternative to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Michael J. Worley’s name to the Chippewa County Community Foundation, specifically to the Michael J.
